Dolly Note: The electric industry says they are trying to slowly transition away from cobalt for electric cars and now simply creating new long term heath issues with mining copper. Not one word is spoken from even one of the new green people about these dangers. How sweet and perhaps it’s just idiocy. G-d b bless them. Isn’t it wonderful that now to produce electric cars we have to mine more copper to produce conductors? Copper mining generates large quantities of waste, tailings, and acid outflows causing long-term environmental impacts and potential threats to human health. While conventional cars have 18-49 pounds of copper, hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) contain approximately 85 pounds, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) use 132 pounds, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) contain 183 pounds, a hybrid electric bus contains 196 pounds, and a battery electric bus contains 814 pounds. WOW how much safer and better is this than just extracting oil?
