A new 787 Dreamliner manufacturing flaw will prolong Boeing delivery halt

A new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, built for American Airlines, is seen moving along the runway at Paine Field in Everett in November 2020. The 787 final assembly facility is across the street from Paine Field. Boeing has discovered a manufacturing problem at a key structure in the nose of the 787 Dreamliner. It now cannot meet its target of delivering more than half of the parked 787s this year and will further reduce production. (Mike Siegel / The Seattle Times)
