Gaetz was discussing with Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., the possibility of backing him in the next vote and appeared to mouth the worth “committee.” McCarthy appeared to agree, resulting in Rogers walking up to Gaetz’s row and making a move toward him. Rogers was then pulled back by his shoulders and then his face in full view of C-SPAN’s cameras. Rogers could then be seen appearing to yell: “I won’t forget this!” In the 15th and final vote, McCarthy was elected speaker with Gaetz voting “present.”
